HOWARD UNIVERSITY
International Pals

How To
Become An
iNternational Pal
In order to become an iPal, you must understand what is required from members of our organization. Becoming an iPal is beneficial however every member of organization puts in effort and hard work throughout the year in order to ensure that our organization meets the vision we set out for that year.
We are looking for extroverted individuals that are either of diverse backgrounds or genuinely open to learning more about the different cultures, religions, and practices of the International Students on Howard University's campus. Diversity is what we strive for in the iPals and therefore we constantly look for individuals from all over the world.
iPals are not only required to attend all of our events throughout the school year, they are expected to keep up with their assigned International Students or palees throughout the year; answering any questions they may have about registering for classes, the surrounding DC Metro area, interesting things to do in their past time, student organizations, etc.
Become A Mentor
Do you think you have what it takes to become an International Pal?
If you do, then look out for our interest meeting. Applications will be available for one week after the interest meeting and can be picked up from out office!

Comptetive Organization
The International Pals have gained a substantial klout on Howard University's Campus and as a result, there are many applications submitted to our office from students interested in our organization.
Although we seek diversity in our members, we are also focused on inducting members that have proven to be wel-rounded students with at least a 2.8 gpa, community service experience, as well as articulate students. This is because although we are a social organization we also participate in multiple community service projects and are required to communicate with students, teachers, and administration on Howard's campus.
As mentioned before, Howard University International Pals is a serious organization and only accepts serious members. By stating this we expect prospective members to understand that every action plays a major part in whether or not they will be accepted to become a Howard University International Pal.
